  1. I plan to head home this weekend from boston (where i don't keep my car) but instead of taking the 4.5 hour bus or train ride, some one suggested I look online for ride shares (faster, more comfortable, and probably cheaper). I found one or two on craigslist that seem to correspond with my schedual, but i am starting to feel alittle afraid for my safety (must be the don't talk to strangers propaganda I was feed as child). Aside from the possibility of being taking hostage by buffalo bill, I am worried more about unsafe/bad drivers, and drivers on drugs/drunk. Anyways, I will probably take someone up on one of these ride shares with the hope that they are just looking to split the cost of gas and tolls and aren't crazy.

Anyways I was wondering if anyone had an expirence with these, or have heard of anyone/know someone who has. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  2. Doesn't these depend on the individual? So experiences of others make no difference to your proposed ride share.

Why not ask the person out for a coffee so as to know them a bit better and then make up your mind. Maybe they are just like you, maybe they are total [censored] (assuming you are not a [censored]). 😄
