Once I read that Miche stands for Michelin. I am not sure if this is correct.

I have a few sprockets from Miche (Campa version) mounted on a Chorus equiped bike. Also I used to have sprockets from another brand, which name I forgot.

The quality of the sprockets is poor compared to Campa. The top layer gets damaged after a few rides and you can hear the difference between Campa and Miche. The quality of the other brand was as good as the original (both Miche and the unknown brand were half the price).

My experience with the French brand TA are very good. I ride their chain wheels which are also about half the (ridiculous) price of Campa. You know about Mavic equipment, right?

Just ca. 1986 Miche hubs that I have on a set of original wheels with Mistral rims for a backup ride. Been rebuilt more times than I can remember and probably have over 30k miles on them :p .

I needed a 24 h front hub, I did try to find some good brand but looking at ebay I did found a couple of miche primato's hubs. They are shimano 8/9s compatible and not the current model of primatos advertised on their web site.

Been as curious as I am I did open the hubs they look nice ouside. On the inside I did find a quality (cones, cups, and bearings) that I compare only to a pair of record hubs I opened for lubrication some 2 years ago. They are hevy but roll as butter.

I built the wheel and I have done so far about 1000 km with no problem.

If the quality of the other components is as good then they would make a good training machine. (they include some campy Ergos I think).
