I know of uk.rec.running but it is only marginally better than this group

I occasionally read the board at www.letsrun.com , as do several
others from here that I recognize posting from time to time. It is also
filled with a lot of nonsense, but sheer volume of traffic means there
is always a good thread going on.

Of course, that same sheer volume of traffic makes it hard to really
have a sense of community with regulars, unlike here. I prefer
rec.running because I feel like I know a lot of the long-time posters
to a degree, as they do about me. It's not that hard to filter out the
trolls, even the ones that change their email addresses every day.
