Our back is the posterior region of the trunk of the body from the neck to
pelvis. Our back speaks of all that is behind us, representing the past that
we have moved forward through. Back problems are a sign that we are 'backing
up,' because we feel no backup or support. We are trying to move backwards
because of some reluctance, doubt or fear. It means we are 'backed up' with
anger, we are 'getting back at' with revenge against someone or feeling as
if we are carrying it all on our back through overwhelming sacrifice.
Serious back problems usually reflect unconscious level issues. We are
holding ourselves back out of fear or unworthiness.

You may consider asking a massage therapist if they do CranioSacral Therapy
or Viseral Manipulation. The results you would get with these types of body
    work are amazing!

  3. Get yourself a copy of Clair Davies book on Trigger Point Massage
Therapy & Myofascial Pain. Cost about $15 or save money & get it
through your library. Mr. Davies is a certified massage therapist who
took the two volume, 1200 page, Travell & Simons Physician's reference
book on trigger points & muscular pain & made it into a wonderful
do-it-yourself book for the layman. Lots of illustrations on the exact
points to work on for any pain from head to toe. Dr. Simoms himself
wrote the forward to this book.

I occasionally get lower backaches, & since getting the book & using the
instructions, can get rid of them very quickly.

You can check out Mr. Davies' website at triggerpointbook.com to see if
getting the book would be worthwhile. Amazon has some reviews of his
book, a number from professional massage therapists.

Good Luck! Pain can be a royal pain.

So that fall from the scaffold had nothing to do with it.

    Such magical thinking !

The only thing backd up is your "logic."

There are several non-surgical treatments for a herniated disc, depending on
the exact problem. The OP should see a neurosurgeon of spinal orthopedist.
