Any Experience with FSA RD-600 Wheelset?

No but good question, I've been interested in the FSA wheelsets. Pretty trick hub dealie/shorter spoke thingy. Hmmm, perhaps too new to get some experience/milage-based opinions. Why don't you be an early adopter? FSA in general makes pretty good stuff, creatively engineered.

Hi I bought the rd400 in the UK. I had to beg the distributor for them as they still had not really distributed them in april 2004. Their claimed wieght less skewers was 1450g short of 1550 real. I weigh 69ks and use them with a Cannodale CAAD3 Ultegra bike. The overall weight is down to 7.6 kgs which for a 58 cm frame is pretty good.Only 800g off the UCI limit. Some things I learnt instantly about the wheels. I immediately scratched them all the way around the rim cos the widget in the Ultegra brake block dug into them. First ti,e this had happened on any rim and no warning with it. OK just aesthetics. The rear wheel came out of true after a few hundred miles. Rememebr I weigh 69kgs. The rear wheel would flex a lot on power climbs nte big ring. I amskinny remember. Also getting a tyre on takes about 8 mins with 3 tyre levers. That is in a warm house. I split 4 decent inner tubes fitting gp3000 and pro races. That all took an hour when I first got them. Ultimateky the rear beagan making creaking noises after 1000km. My local dealerr noticed fissures and cracks so I eventually got a repalcement off FSA. They had been unhelpful before. The Italian customer service had ignored all my queries.It was the final straw finding cracks. Yes they are light and yes they offer good value for money. However FSA get yourself organised in Europe please. Or else people will just stick to Campag Zonda or Eurus or MAvic SSC SL. I had to fight to but te 400, you ignored my complaints and finally you could have offered a goodwill upgrade for the broken rd400. I have not seen these wheels reviewed anywhere. So it's a risk for me. I still ride them but I say if you are a heavy rider g owith the rd200. As for the 600 well they look great but do the research. Next time I will look at Eurus as I need to get someting lighter than my ROlf Pros on my other bike.

Anyone have an updated opinion on FSA wheels?
I am considering a pair of RD-400's for road and possibly 'cross racing.
