I am looking to start a training regime, but I ride 20 miles, round trip, to work every day. I am afraid that my riding to work will be counter productive to any training I will do. Does anyone have any suggestions for a training routine? I am looking to a 100 miler within the year. I live in an area that is very flat so hill riding is pretty much impossible.

what are you training for? if you just want to ride 100 miles then do your commute and 30-50km training rides during the week with a big ride on saturday and or sunday...try and keep riding further than the week before. Commuting will be good 4 u...maybe aim a lil higher?
