  1. Hi, I live in Texas and well its pretty hot. Yesterday it was 97 where I live and its not even the hotest part of the year:p. On my ride this morning I was thinking, sweat is suposidly your bodies air conditioner. So my question is, would wearing an Antiperspirant / Deoderant cause you to be prespire less and make you more hot than say a Deoderant (non antiperspirant) or nothing at all? Or if you did not wear an Antiperspirant would it cause you to dehidrate faster?

Thanks in advance for any help, comments or suggestions. 🙂

  2. You're riding a bike, the heck with how you smell. You should do NOTHING to inhibit sweating. Maybe a bit of deodorant on the azz for long rides as a cheapo butt cream.

  3. Yeah, and don't wear bright lipstick, you'll give the sport a bad name!😄

  4. for the sake of your training partners, a bit of anti-perspirant on every ride please.

hahah no man... your body sweats all over the place not just the armpits... unless you put antiperspirant all over including the scalp!!! 😄

actually come to think of it... theoretically using antiperspirant may cause you to sweat more elsewhere...

There are people with hyperhydrosis- excessive sweating and apparently when they undergo surgical procedure to destroy the sweat glands in the problem areas, there are reports of increased sweating elsewhere to "compensate"... funny eh
