  1. Read a small clip in the Hun today that engineering works have started
on the Sandridge Bridge at Southgate. Is proposed to turn it into a
    Pedestrian/Bike crossing of river, apparently...

Bit wierd as it mimmicks the 2 bridges only 200m either side (newer
walkway bridge to East level with Elizabeth St) and the Queensbridge
    St bridge.

As the Sandridge bridge doesnt currently go to/from anywhere Im
wondering what the heck they are going to do either side of the bridge
to get people on/off (especially if on bike) and why not spend money
    elsewhere?

  2. More here,

Can remember recent discussions about the bridge being re-developed for
retail shopping, arcade type shopping etc.

Suppose a walkway or bicycle lane is far more beneficial, and CHEAPER
than more trendy shops in the Southbank area selling overpriced tat. Any
    other thoughts?
