Saint Ralph opens in arts theatres this week.
Its about a teen in the 1950s with an ill mother
who thinks if he wins a marathon, she will be cured.
In those days running that is distance at all
was considered pretty way out.
I've only seen the trailers, but its gotten
lukewarm reviews in the papers.

You mean you watched it from your trailer?

I've only seen the trailers, but its gotten
lukewarm reviews in the papers. It was filmed here in my city. I was asked (among many other
regular area runners) to be an extra. I declined. One of my
friends that decided to go for it said it wasn't fun. He had to
stand around all day in race gear while it was sort of cold, and
water was sprayed on him all the time. Runners would do these
sort of 30 second bits all day, looking like they were in the
middle of a distance race, then have to stop.cheers,
