Another Rohloff Question: Harder shifting?

  1. Strangly (to me, at least) my new Rohloff hub shifts easier than my older (about 4k miles) one.

    It's not the shifter or cable routing because the problem follows the wheel when I swap it out on
    the bike that had the newer hub and the newer hub still shifts easier when it is on the bike that
    normally has the older hub.

    Oil viscosity? Seems like I heard they were changing from season-specific to a single all-season
    formulation. Doesn't *feel* like a viscosity thing though...
