Well done.
It's a great feeling to witness those first couple of pedal strokes where
the young'un takes control. Then so soon they are off on their own and
you'll be chasing to keep up.

I took three youngsters in the New Forest on Sunday, (aged 5,5,and 6) and
who were all on stabilisers, and had them all pedalling off unsupported in
just under the hour.

By the end of the session they were holding races around the training area

Great! How old is she? I got daugther #1 (6yo) riding about two weeks
ago, and she did her first randonne yesterday (OK, only 6km of one, but
it's a good start, and needed gears).

I got her off stabilisers in one hour, using the technique described
here in the past - take off the pedals and shove 'em down a slight &
grassy hill, till they can balance. Then it was pedals back on, and
she disappeared across the park, with me standing there, 15mm pedal
spanner in hand. Amazing to watch.

I'd helped her "ride" to school along the path a few days last week with me
holding on to the saddle, but she sensibly wanted to have a go on grass with
no obstacles. Down to the park on the trail-gator with daughter #1 aged 7
confidently following close behind. Pedalling on grass is hard work for
little legs so we found a slight slope and she was away (briefly). Still
needs a couple more sessions to get her starting off on her own I reckon.
