  1. My mate is closing his bike shop down with immediate effect, though he
will open every Saturday until the end of August to clear as much stock
as possible, with a large discount. No adult bikes left, but a number of
kids bikes are available, as well as loads of on and off-road
consumables and upgrades - Sachs/SRAM?shimano and Campag if any left.
Last time I went in, he had some good kit there, so if you are in the
area, and want a bargain, get down to Wakies Cycle Centre, at the Market
    Place, Codnor, Derbys.

    Alan,

Haven't been on u.r.c for ages but a Google search turned up your post
as I'm on a hunt for 'cross tyres for the autumn, and seem to recall
that Wakies used to have good deals on Tufo clincher-tubs. Any idea if
they have any suitable (knobbly rather than diamond tread) stock
remaining, and if so, would they be able to supply by mail order? Drop
    me a line [deb107(underscore)york(at)btinternet(dot)com] if you've any
    info.

    Many thanks,
    David Belcher
