  1. While we're talking about a wiki-type walking page I wonder if anyone is
interested in joining me in a new project.

Over the last year I've had a number of people contacting me about hiking in
the Pyrenees, not surprising as Ryannair have made it so cheap to get there.

This has made me think that there is some merit in setting up a web site to
support those interested in exploring it for the first time. It could also
offer a place where up-to-the minute information on accommodation, supply
    stores, etc.

I've got a lot of free webspace available and am happy to register a domain
name. I'm off to the Pyrenees and will make sure I come back with a lot of
photographs that can give a site some life.

But I wonder if any of you would be interested in getting involved, sharing
    experiences, tips, etc.

I know there are a number of you round here who are just as keen on the
    Pyrenees as myself!

I'm taking my family camping in the Pyrenees in a couple of weeks time
(wife, 12yo boy and 9 month girl). It's the first time any of us have been
there, and I've been surprised about how little coherent information there
is on it. It's usually either in Spanish, or of the "look at the great
holiday that we had" type of site (if you know what I mean), both of which
are pretty useless if you're trying to work out practicalities.

So, yes - a great idea. Also, I'm willing to provide content (text or
holiday snaps), if that is useful.

    Ken.

I'd be happy to contribute what I can - photos, GPS waypoints, etc and
some ideas on places to use as a base or stopover during a traverse
    etc.

  4. If I can help I will.

I have an apartment in that area, which is used by walkers
(particularly outside of July/Aug when it is too hot !) and groups
    with a mixture of wants.

I could probably provide pointers / uploads for bus schedules / train
    schedules etc.
Have you ever done the Canigou race (walkers and runners separate)?
First Sunday of August I think.
