so i'm riding in ballard last week down market getting pushed into
dangerous-door territory by cars who then stop in front of me at the light.
a lady did this to me and then signalled to turn right and so i got to her
left at the signal while saying sarcastically "thanks a lot". not only did
she hear me but we had an interesting conversation at the light. she told me
that i need to use hand signals. i tried to answer her and say "but i wasnt
turning and i need to keep my hands on the bars anyway" but she kept
interrupting me. the situation is going nowhere, but a pedestrian crossing
in front of us yelled as loud as he could "leave the biker alone!" after
that three drivers did more or less the same thing to me on my way down
market. jeez. bike town? i'd hate to see one more hostile (or ignorant).

near seattle...technically part of seattle but many ballardians
(ballardites) vie for independence.
