What great reporting. First of all, the IOC has nothing to do with the Pro Tour, so why would Freuler back off from them? And second, if the UCI is going to retaliate for a rider contesting the validity of a new test just because they feel it gives false positive, then the real story here is how the UCI is using the Pro Tour to control the sport in malevolent ways.
It's a good thing the Grand Tour organziers saw that the Pro Tour was nothing but an attempt by the UCI to grab power away from race organizers.
