Yes, in the south its still like summer ..... other than the odd bit of
frost at night!
Ventured over into the Meon Valley today for a 9 mile circuit from the small
village of Exton. Glorious sunshine, still in shorts and 'T' shirt, and
loving every minute of it!
Joined the old Meon Valley railway track - very popular with walkers,
mountain bikers and horses - and wandered along to Droxford. Picked up the
Wayfarer's Walk and headed up to Fir Down and onwards to Shepherds Down.
Great views into the valley from Shepherds Down. Dropped down to Hazelholt
Farm, passed through the woods into Corhampton Woods, then back along paths
and tracks returning to Exton. Sunshine enhanced the autumnal colours
today, although there are still many trees with leaves to change colour.
Could be a long autumn!
Pleasant Sunday stroll, with a selection of photos from the route at the web
address below.
