Cycling through Sutton Park (North Birmingham) this morning I encountered a family of four, all on bikes, teaching their daughter (approx 8 or 9 years) how to signal and cope with junctions. Excellent, I thought. The park is relarively quiet as far as motor traffic is concerned and all of the junctions are properly marked as they would be on real roads.
