  1. Amylose is a type of food starch, foods like cereal and root
    vegetables are rich in amylose. I will like to begin an
    amylose free diet because I am obese and my doctor has
    adviced it but all he could give me was instructions to
    avoid cereals and root vegetables. I need to know more.

    Perhaps you might think of what other things you can eat,
    rather than what you can't. It sounds like your doctor is
    advocating low-carb, and you might get some guidance from
    e.g. the Zone or Atkins diet plans.

    Count calories honestly. Forget amylose. It is not poison.
    It has calories so count them.
