Amish Roubaix

Looks like fun, especially the muddy part.

If it is wet, Mother Mary is just about unclimbable due to mud and ruts. Some of the short, steep hills will be a challenge too. It should be a great time! This is held in the heart of the nation's largest Amish population and the roads are usually plastered with horse [censored] and rutted from buggy rims.

The Borium clad horse shoes 'hoof up' the dirt, making divots that are kind of like riding a reverse cobble effect...a pretty rough ride in spots. The driving nags only go 1000 pounds and up, but their big Belgians and Percherons can scale a ton or so of dirt road destroying war horse. The hooves can be as big as a dinner plate.

Look at the size of that shoe...
