  1. Hey everyone:

    If I am getting enough protein in my diet while working out (over the amount
    actually), is taking amino acids and glutamine a waste? I'm 34 now and my
    muscle mass is just not developing like it used to...need a boost....

    This is just a personal opinion based on a lot of reading, but if you
    are going to supplement any single amino acid, L-Glutamine is probably
    one of the best.

    OTOH, dairy proteins (such as whey) are naturally high in that
    particular one.

    Try whey protein shakes first and see if that helps?

    Can't hurt and it's less expensive than amino acid isolates.

    Anabolic steroids, but you might run into some legal issues.

    Recognize the law of diminishing returns. Also recognize that you are
    reaching an age where overall results will begin to diminish. That's
    just reality.
