Ambrosio Evolution Rims: Feedback Please

  1. Any experience with these rims as opposed to Mavic
    Open Pros?

  2. They're a bit heavier. 480g listed vs 425g for the Open
    Pros. That's a good thing for rear wheel.

    I like them better than Open Pros, and they're a better
    value (about $20 cheaper). They are solid rims.

    Both rims have a double eyelets and a similar cross
    section, though the Evolution's cross section is
    reinforced with small "tubes" on the edges. (Is there a
    name for those things?)
