Seems Robert Bass was not aware his notice about the missing child was a bit late. The child had
been taken to a hospital the same day the child was reported abducted by her mother. I looked up the
case and found there was ZERO evidence that the mother was neglecting her daughter. It was (the
opinion) of doctors (that) it was likely the child would (in the future) not get the proper
attention (because) this was a single unwed mother.
The issue was NOT the mother refusing medical treatment, it appears to be the doctors saying that
(as an unwed mother) she would be incapable of providing proper care...meaning being unable to
"afford" proper care.
Also the child was NOT abducted (after) the Judge awarded custody to the State. The child was taken
(to avoid) Child Welfare Services taking her daughter. It was the Child Welfare Services who asked
for the Judge to impose the Custody Order in order to activate the Amber Alert.
