Aluminum frame weight limits?

I asked around when I was getting my bike... Motobecane Sprint- same frame/fork/wheelset as the Vent Noir. I come in at 235-240 and when I asked at my LBS, the response was that weight would not be an issue. I rode a Fuji and Trek with similar setups and felt very stable. While time will ultimately tell the frame's durability, I feel pretty good about the strength that I have seen so far.
