  1. I've read about new natural sugars. Something made from Kiwi
fruit, might be called Kiwi-Sweet. Also Trutina dulcem.

I wonder how expensive these are, how well they work
    and taste?

Never heard of them, but if they are in fact alternative
sugars and not calorie free, carb free sweeteners, they are
no better for diabetics than real sugar.

    Hi Rachel

I'd never heard of the TD stuff, so did a little googling.
All I could find were sales sites, no scientific analysis.
You don't work for one of them by some chance?

They claim it is 15 times stronger than sugar. But, at
US$12.50 plus post for 100 gms that's US$57.00 per pound. At
my local prices that makes it 180 times the cost of sugar.
So, dividing that by 15 for it's sweetening concentration,
    it's 12 times more expensive.

Sounds like it would cost you more for the sweetener than
    the coffee to
    me.

I noticed your slightly unsympathetic post on the "fat old
man"; are you a diabetic yourself?

Cheers, Alan, ancient and still a bit chubby skeptic. -
