  1. Does 2 years sound like a reasonable warranty for a 7005 ally race frame? I did not think so after
mine bust after 5 but that is what the supplier told me (and they still only offer that long: name
available off list). Any one got a better deal?

  2. It varies widely between manufacturers. My Dawes has a 3 year warranty but Ridgeback offer lifetime
guarantees on all their ally frames.

I ended up buying a Trek (half price, a 2300 for £249, with quill stem as well-result!) as a
replacement, Evans assured me it had a lifetime warranty, but have since heard that they are kicking
up a fuss about a carbon frame of an aquaintance that has come unstuck from the BB) Moral;don't buy
without a cast iron written guarantee.
