I was wondering what do you look for in a road bike for aggressive position and geometry. This is for good aerodynamic and pure speed? Like what numbers or frame styles?
I know the more expensive the bike the better components etc and the lighter the bike which mean going faster but I would like toa get a cost effective bike. Bang for the buck in speed.
I don't race or commute but I just like to ride and ride fast..hehehe I'm looking for a road bike since my 'dale f700 with slick is not getting the speed I want on the paved road(running out of gear too).

thanks Mutsu
I'd go to a good LBS that can fit you to a bike and do some test rides. An extreme aero position may not be what you can or should handle. Being comfortable in a good aero tuck position in the drops will help your speed. But if you're not comfortable on the bike, it doesn't matter how low-drag you are since you won't want to ride it.
Forget the notion that a lighter bike is going to be faster; that's just not significant for us recreational riders. Most any low-to-mid range bike these days is going to be fine weight-wise; don't worry about spending extra money to save a pound or two on the bike.

Wow! You so rarely hear such blasphemous TRUTH on this board! 🙄
