My father is suffering a lot from the side effect of the radiotherapy he was given to treat the esophagus cancer. It lasted for 1 month, but he is very coughing, short breathe now, heart beating fast (to 110/min) now and then. He's taken some antibiotics and oxygen, but didn't help very much. Doctor said it could be pneumonia generated by the radiotherapy.
Could you give me suggestions of any kinds that can be helpful for my father to cope with it? Thanks,
Your father has terminal illness. Your whole goal at this time should be to make him comfortable.

Your father could be dehydrated, not getting enough fluid. That alone could cause him to have a rapid heart beat.
