Hey, I've just heard about this Afan place from a certain bike magazine (can I say names etc? - I'm new to forums!!) and was wandering if anybody can give me any information on it:
Firstly, does anybody know of any accomodation either nearby or if we are allowed to just pitch a tent in the forrest? I've looked through www.mbwales.com but it really was not too useful for me.
Secondly, does anybody know if it is suitable for what can only be described as a begginer? I have ridden a fair bit of xc, and also a few longish (in my opinion!!) road rides - c. 80 km. Will a bike like a Scott Voltage hold up through it?
Finally, does anybody else know of any other trails similar to the Afan forrest ones - but which may not have been quite so clearly publicised, preferably in the Oxford - Aylesbury area??
