I just purchased a set of Airstryke aerobars for my bike. I'm training for a triathlon and there was a Christmas sale. $89 - 30% off so they were around $62. I can't afford $200 set and wonder if these are a decent pair before installing.
Thanks.

They are OK. This design was the state of the art about 10 years ago. Cannot use bar-end shifters with them, so if you want shifting on the aerobar you have to use down-tube shifters with a profile swiftshift, which is kind of a crappy design (which I did use for a few years back in the 90's). They are also pretty heavy compared to some others on the market. I personally don't like the flip-up armrests, although some do like them if they are using the airstyrke with drop bars.
They will do the job and are a comfortable bar with reasonable adjustability and are a decent value for the money.
If you are new to triathlons and aerobars, I would try them for awhile and see how you like them. Get someone experienced to help with the set-up and positioning of you on the bike, if you haven't already done so. As you get more experienced, you will develop preferences that can guide your choice of a replacement, if necessary.
