Please give me advice on making my training program. I`m a serious amateur - 3rd year of cycling, before some running, now mainly cross-country races. Need to be in a peak in august-september for competition. So, during winter I went to spinning 5 times per week and did hard work to raise my VO2max, but on april I suddenly got inflammatory of hearing nerve, so I had to interrupt for 1,5 months...
Now I have 1 month and 2000 km of base, so I look forward for starting some interval work. So, my question - is it sufficient with 1 month of base, or should I put in another month and 2000 km before starting serious interval work to raise my speed? Because I have endurance, but not speed...
So, give me advice, what to accent in my training program, how to structure it. (I have no power meter, train only with HR monitor)
