    I am currently in the rocky mountains in Canada and was wanting to buy a road bike, but as a traveller I do not have much money. I have been wanting to do some riding for a while now but do not really have any real knowledge on buying a bike. Someone I know has offered to sell me a bike and I just wanted to know the quality of the bike and whether it is worth the selling price of $500. The bike is as follows:

    Basso Bike
    Campagnolo- levers, headset, derailleurs, skewers, brakes
    8 Speed rear- 2 ring front- campagnolo
    Cinelli- handlebars, stem
    Brevetti hubs
    Mavic- MA2 rims
    SDG sadle.

    Before the price, does it fit properly?

    I would think a bike with a triple chainring may be better for touring in the mountains. 😄

    im only here for another 3 months, I will take the bike home to Melbourne to ride as well.
