Looking for some professional advice from you all. I found a 2004 Marin Verona road bike today. The bike is unused--it's been sitting in a shop since late '03 and looks brand new. It's steel, has Shimano 105, carbon front and rear fork, carbon seat post, Mavic rims. Bike store wants $999 for it. New retail was somewhere around $1375 I think.
Is this a good deal? Should I be concerned about a 3 year old bike that's been sitting around? Thanks in advance for your thoughts/opinions.

If you don't mind riding a '03 bike and the bike fits you, go for it! The bike shop will clean it up & lubricate it good to make sure everything on it is in good working order. IF they don't, you need to find a new LBS.
