How's it going? I've been reading these posts and appreciate all the responses for advice. I'm a beginner and will be looking for a road bike to commute between home and college (approx. 5 miles each way). I am looking for an everyday bike that is both affordable and easy to maintain. I've recently run across a few bikes off Amazon.com and am wondering on people's opinions. I have also looked around on bikesdirect.com as well as gone into various bike stores.
The two bikes that I am looking at are the Lamborghini Rapido Road Bike ([ame=http://www.amazon.com/Tonino-Lamborghini-Rapido-Road-Bike/dp/B000R7L1LI]Amazon.com: Lamborghini Rapido Road Bike: Sports & Outdoors[/ame]) and the Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike ([ame=http://www.amazon.com/Schwinn-Prelude-Mens-Road-Wheels/dp/B000KZ1GHQ/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top]Amazon.com: Schwinn Prelude Men's Road Bike (700c Wheels): Sports & Outdoors[/ame]). Both bikes are in the cheaper price range and I have read through reviews on both bikes. I am just seeking an opinion of somebody with a little bit more knowledge. Any help is greatly appreciated.
