hello, I'm new here, and looking for advice or tips on bike storage.
We're planning to build bespoke storage in the back garden for 4 family bikes, has to be horizontal, and take up minimum space. Doesn't have to be particularly secure, basically a sort of low wooden shed with a stand in it is what I was thinking.
What's the smallest width we can get away with? I've seen bike stands on the net about 36inches wide for 2 bikes, but presumably you need some extra space each side. It will probably have to be up against a wall, so only accessible from one side and one end.
Anybody done this and got some advice?
TIA

I would look into getting a parking rack like you see in front of a lot of bike shops. They can be had or made for fairly cheap and then they could all fit in that without touching eachother in unpleasant ways. It would have to be end-access though, since it would be rather awkward to do it sideways.
