  1. I just got a PW BB for my touring bicycle. I have red blue and green
Locktite. Which should I use when installing the SS (I think) BB into
the steel frame of my touring bicycle. If anyone suggests green , then
how do I eventually remove the BB?

I am not sure how the PW adhesive compares to the Locktite.

I think if the retainer cups screw in loosely, then you should use the
green lock-tite. If they screw in tightly then don't use anything. Mine
went in nice and tight bit I made sure to grease the BB threads first.
Another thing, when I purchased my PW BB it came with a small tube of
green lock-tite (just in case I guess). Green lock-tite is not
permanent. It comes undone with a little muscle. Red lock-tite is used
if you never want to budge it again. Don't use the red one.
