How would they have done that back in old China on women? I''ve seen
the "lady dolls" at antique shows that were used for pointing out
troubled body parts by females to their male "doctors".. So did they
work the needles through their clothes?

work the needles through their clothes? This was not the universal condition for acupuncture throughout China. Over
3000 years, things have changed. Sometimes, puritanical beliefs may have lead
to needling through clothing or pointing to problems on a lady doll. This is not the experience of most of the women and certainly not how it is
practiced today.
