  1. Bearing in mind January's horrible event, which has recently been in
    the news again, I just noticed this definition of "accident" and was
    rather surprised by the example quoted:-

    "An unexpected and undesirable event, especially one resulting in
    damage or harm: car accidents on icy roads."

    I can see that such accidents are undesirable, but surely the very fact
    that they can be used as an example in a definition must mean that such
    an accident is not unexpected (as in unforeseen).
