Hi all,
I have recently decided to switch to a vegetarian diet, for health
reasons (I read a lot about the cardiovascular benefits). However,
whenever I refrain from eating meat for more than 2 days straight, I
start getting a pain in my upper abdomen, in the middle (occasionally
spreading a little to the right side). When I eat meat, the pain goes
away. It's never very severe or very serious, but it is there, and I
have never had any digestive problems before, so I'm nervous.
Can someone tell what this is, and what causes it? I've obviously
gone back to eating meat - I have no desire to damage my health - but
I'd like to know why it happens this way.
Thanks!
LM
