  1. Would be grateful for any advice on good lower abdominal exercises from you people out there - currently uppers are well developed, lowers are pathetic!

    I'm sure they are just as much developed, but probably concealed by fat. In a study, the three most effective adominal exercises were found to be 1) Hanging leg ups - I use harnesses that my arms fit in, and I am supported under my arms. 2) Lying bicycles - knees are alternately brought in while the trunk is twisted such that the elbows (hands behind head) meet the opposite knee, and 3) Situps while lying on a large exercise ball.

    For most people, diet is needed due to fat concealing the lower (well developed) lower abs.
