    After cycle training last night ***** cycled home with #####. When I
    went to pick her up I saw someone making off with *****'s bike. I
    gave chase but failed to catch up with him. ***** informs me that you
    kindly lent her some lights. Please let me know how much they are so
    that I can reimburse you.

    When I had a bike pinched many years ago I felt that the punishment
    for such a crime should be amputation of a leg - for a second offence
    the other one. Nothing has changed my mind.
