  1. It was lovely today so ditched the studying and went out on my bike all
    afternoon.

There were a lot of confused expressions on the faces of the country folk
this afternoon. I'd describe them as "a cyclist, on a road, on the NCN, how
    dare he".

There was also nearly a nasty accident on another (off road) part of NCN 6:
a lady was walking side by side with someone in a mobility scooter blocking
the track and after half a dozen tinkles on my bell they heard and the lady
moved to the right, the scooter to the left and they went straight into each
    other!

The A50 dual carriageway wasn't the most pleasant way to cycle back, but not
having a map meant it was the only road going in a homeward direction. I've
cycled along there once before but never noticed how many lorries drive into
the hard shoulder - seemingly without realising.

I turned into my street after about 30 miles and spotted a group of
teenagers wandering in the road so rang bell and they got on the pavement -
with similar facial expressions to the country folk in the next county!

Since getting home and doing some sweeping and mopping of the kitchen I've
acquired quite a pain in one arm. It's ok when my arm is straight but quite
bad when it's bent. I didn't bump into anything while out riding (not even
any bushes!) so if anyone's got any ideas on what it might be I'd love to
    hear them. Excessive potholes maybe?
