Hi everyone. I am interested in buying a bike to do my daily commute to work. I don't understand much about the technical aspects and have found two bikes which seem really similar to me and am wondering what the main differences are.
Which one will be more suitable for a commute which consists of a passage through a windey country road?
They are basically the same bike with diffferent handlebars and cranksets. If you like to ride in a more aerodynmic posistion, then the Route 66 would be good for you. If you like riding in a more upright posistion, then the Everglades is the way to go. If you have a lot of hills on your route, then the Everglades offers you lower gears that will help you ride over them.
Neither of these bikes have really good quality components on them, but they are probably OK for a commuter bike. You might want to invest in a bicycle repair manual though, because they are going to need frequent adjustments and taking them to your local bike shop for this can get very expensive.
