Running should reduce the time for food to move through the
alimentary canal. When starting a running program, there
could be some adjustment. Running can cause a side stitch,
which should disappear as the body adapts. Running too soon
after eating?
If you have been running a lot and then stop, you could get
constipated.
Gas may be lactose intolerance (to milk, yogurt, cream).
Other suspects: wheat (gluten), beans, cabbage, ...
Running too fast too soon, lots of huffing and puffing, can
be a mixed blessing.
