Quoted message said:I am a relatively healthy 48 year old woman. Lately, I have
been having a lot of pain in my hip joints. This only
happens, however, at night. There is no pain in my hips
during the day. Despite taking aspirin (I have problems
taking ibuprofen), the pain is still pretty bad.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
It could be most anything. Did you injure yourself doing
some physical activity.
See a real doctor. Why on earth would you be asking this
question in
an alternative health group?? This is a group to discuss
alternative
health medicine pro and con. It is certainly not a group
to diagnose
people's problems. You might have more luck on the
sci.med groups.
Quoted message said:I am a little overweight (about 40 pounds), which, I
realize could be part of the problem.
It sure could.
Quoted message said:But why am I feeling this only at night? This seems really
strange to me. Any ideas what would help alleviate the pain
(hot baths do help quite a bit)?
When you say you only feel it at night, do you also feel it
when you wake up first thing in the morning?? If so, does
the pain subside when you move around a bit. If this is the
case you could have arthritis but you need to see a doctor
for a definitive diagnosis.

Thanks in advance for your assistance. Boy, people on this
ng don't get along very well do they?

Oh, and before I forget I would suggest that you see a
doctor Auntie Em. Good luck.
