Claims to be designed for IE6 (unusual these days), too wide, first screen
is just the logo/coffee cup, plugin-hungry, have to pass an eyetest to
leave a comment on it, and so on and so forth. It's different, but not
in a good way - I won't be subscribing unless it's improved.

Agreed. It just seems to be "another cycling blog"

On the scren resolution though, I looked at it in Firefox and Opera
and it looked OK in both those browsers.

My main browser, however for the last 12 years has been Opera.

It can be a bit quirky at times, admittedly, but has features that
blow the Gecko Rendering Engine based browsers away if you take time
to read the help and how-to files.

A couple of fast examples:
(1) Opera has a "Fit to Width" button if the resolution on the site
you are browsing isn't to your liking or otherwise b0rked;

(2) In regard to the blog items about downloading torrents, Opera has
a built in bittorrent so you don't need any additional software

And for speed and size it can not be beaten. The install file is a
lean and mean 5.1 meg

I'm using Firefox (well, Iceweasel) but I don't run my browser
full-screen. Opera's "Fit to Width" is an example of fixing the
problem in the wrong place - the problem shouldn't exist on good sites.
In the worst case, View -> Page Style -> No Style usually fixes it, but
that site didn't have enough interesting content anyway.

Plus, Opera is unverifiable, so is easily beaten by the 7Mb Iceweasel
install in my opinion.

I just installed it on my dad's computer and it's working great so far.
No blue screen of death since I added it

yeah happened by accident
This was the only browser that I could use on my ancient home computer.
Problem affected a job application that I did back in May.
I couldn't see the space set aside for questions. It was white on white and
I ended up
typing in the wrongs spot so it never saved.

I was testing my new hotmail account and it didn't
i probably did it by accident cos I tried to swithc the name back

but it is cool cos it syncs with your micrsoft explorer and delivers it to
your email box without going to the web page
