Hi all, I'm planning to install a new set of disc brake on my mountain bike, since the one the come
with my bike is really "funny".... It is an "armor" 160 front and 145 rear disc brake set with
rotor, it is a mechanical floating disc brake which one of the brake pads always touching the rotor
and make some terrible sound and slow me down while I ride it. Just want to ask if it is common to
all floating disc brakes? The other thing is, will switching to Avid ball bearing disc brake will
solve the problem? Since I'm a student and budget is a definity limited. Should I go for avid ball
bearing or promax mechanical disc brake (I've found that thing in PricePoint in a very attractive
price...^_^!)?
Thanks, Eric
