For the past four working days I have been mostly driving a bloody great truck around Galashiels. For any that live in the area, stay clear tomorrow as I have my test! In an attempt to clear the conscience, I rode to and from Gala (Staying overnight and cheated with a bus over the weekend). The ride back yesterday was fantastic, door-to-door of just over 2 hours with a moving time of 1hr 52 minutes and a 17mph+ average!
But the ride itself passed without much attention to the surroundings due to hunger. I wasn't lacking for energy (At least until the last mile), but for the first five miles out of Gala there is wild garlic growing down the side of the road. A surefire way to get the tastebuds interested. Just as I thought I'd conquered that, I rode through Stow to the accompanying smell of frying bacon. The [censored]... didn't they realise what they were doing?
So now I'm looking out at the glorious weather, and wishing that tomorrow involved hairing around town in a cycle courier stylee, rather than spending an hour driving the aforementioned large vehicle around the country roads of the Borders. Ah well.

I ride around our city and have to contend with endless chip shops, Indians and Chineses. Funnily enough, McDs and KFCs have the opposite effect.
