this may be a couple of dumb questions, but can I put a 9 speed cassette on an older shimano 105 8 speed hub? Also, does anyone know if my specialized A1 pro road bike has clearence for a triple crankset. i think it is a 1997 or 98 model.
thanx

thanxYes, assuming it is not a uniglide hub which has a a different spline pattern.. Triple is NP.You just have to use the proper spindle length(typically longer) for the triple crank. But you may have issues with shifters, to shift it depending on what you have, and will need a triple FD.
