  1. gday,
Over the past few months, ive gone through the process of upgrading my old
rsx 7 speed to 9 speed ultegra.
I mainly grabbed the parts from ebay both au and us (mainly US)
For those wanting to do a similar thing, here's a list of prices i paid,
compared to those i would have paid if i got all the gear from local
    stores..
Only the cranks were 2nd hand and the local prices were from LBS websites
    (cecil walker, freedom machine etc)

    LBS prices
    ultegra cranks $275
    ultegra BB $89
    ultegra 12-21 cassette $128
    105 front derallieur $57
    ultegra rear gear $130?
    ultegra STI $440

    Prices i paid
    ultegra cranks $60 (2nd hand)
    ultegra BB $60
    ultegra 12-21 cassette $60
    105 front derallieur $20
    ultegra rear gear $75
    ultegra STI $215

    $490 actual spend from ebay
    $1119 for local store prices
    $629 saving
Apologies to those who think i should support the locals (which i would
normally do), but in this case, the savings were too great..

doh! just when i thought i could park at cafe racer🙁
I did nearly snag a set of FSA carbon cranks for a good price but decided
    against it.
I rekon 10 sp and carbon would go to waste on the old 1997 model peugeot
    frame i'm riding around on🙂
