    which ones never to buy or which ones are worth serious consideration.

    The Taya Pro super 92/9 is worth trying, it runs smootly with no noise and shifts very well.

    I have 9sp Veloce equipped bike with Campag 9sp wheels and Shimano 9sp race wheels. I've been using
    SRAM PC59 chains for several years and have found them to always work well despite the bad
    experiences of some of our fellow contributors.
